Join us for our annual Hornby Ride

Hornby Ride, July 17th 2011

Meet in time to catch the 9am ferry from Buckley Bay then ride across scenic Denman Island, continuing along to Tribune Bay Provincial Park. Free BBQ lunch provided by Pedal Your World at Tribune Bay. The total distance is roughly 40km if you cruise the paved roads or take on some of the best single track around going up and over Mt Geoffry. Everyone welcome to join us.
In the past we had families with kids in trailers, roadies who ride all the way down and back. However the bulk of the riders do meet at 9am as I mentioned before to ride across and take in the peaceful country roads or climb Mt Geoffry on Hornby to come zipping down the fabulous singletrack.

RSVP to Pedal Your World so we know how much food to bring....don't forget your sunscreen!

We'd also like to remember Fred Krueger, the fellow who had the great idea in 1976 to open Pedal Your World. He started riding with a group of friends to Hornby once a year and it grew into this event, which we still do today. Fred Krueger July 21, 1955 - May 28, 2010.
